Drive/Storeperson

Dynamic Rigging Hire Pty Ltd provide hire of rigging, hoisting and load testing equipment across Melbourne to a diverse customer base that includes construction, mobile crane, port/maritime, engineering and civil construction sectors.

We are seeking the right person for the role of Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant. The position will see you based at our factory in Truganina, in an ongoing full-time position (upon a satisfactory three-month trial period).

Our company promotes from within and due to internal promotions, we have our driver/store person role becoming available. All previous applicants in this role have been promoted into other positions.

Ideally you will have recent experience within the equipment hire industry and/or lifting/rigging equipment knowledge, but what is more important is your personality, willingness to learn new skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The role will include:

• Driving 6t tray truck and 1t tray delivering and collecting our rental equipment across Melbourne, Geelong and occasional country Victoria trips
• General factory-based work including forklift operation
• Maintain factory including cleaning of work areas and vehicles
• Daily/weekly truck and forklift checks
• Preparing and dispatching orders for upcoming jobs with accuracy
• Assisting with the inspection, maintenance and cleaning of hire equipment
• Hours of work: 7am–3.06pm Monday to Friday

The successful applicant will be / will have:

• The right to work in Australia with good spoken and written English
• Heavy rigid truck licence (Australian) with a current VicRoads report provided
• Minimum two years truck driving experience
• Good knowledge of metro Melbourne including the CBD
• Forklift licence
• Must be able to secure loads on an open tray including the use of chains and binders
• Punctual, show initiative and be able to accept tasking from within the small team
• Flexibility to work in the factory and out on the road – this is NOT exclusively a driving job
• High personal communication, numeracy and reading skills; the ability to use technology like tablets
• You must have your own reliable transport to arrive at work on time every day
• Be fit and in good health – this is a fast-paced working environment
