Load Testing for the Torrens to Darlington Project

Dynamic Rigging Hire was recently engaged to provide load testing services for the Torrens to Darlington project in Adelaide. This assignment involved testing of two 500t portal cranes, which serve as key components for the assembly and removal of the project’s tunnel boring machines.

As part of the construction and commissioning, these high-capacity cranes required a full proof load test to ensure they met stringent safety and operational standards. Dynamic Rigging Hire provided a full turnkey service, mobilised rigging, load cells and water load bags to carry out the load testing works.

The project was executed in collaboration with the technical team from Eilbeck Cranes, combining our rigging expertise with their crane engineering knowledge. The entire testing procedure was witnessed and verified by an independent third party.
