Overhead Crane Load Testing

In February Dynamic Rigging Hire conducted load testing to two 150t overhead cranes in a Victorian power station.

This project was a combined effort with the client and the crane service provider to load test the cranes prior to some significant works at the power station planned for 2019. DRH provided all the equipment to test both 150t cranes and the 20t auxiliary hooks plus another smaller bridge crane.

We supplied the 100t load cells, five water load bags, all the rigging, plus all the hoses, valves and fittings. Water used in the load test was recycled water stored at site and once each test was completed the water was reclaimed again to be used in the cooling towers.

Dynamic Rigging Hire hold everything required to load test cranes from 500kg through to 250 tonne, whether it be bridge cranes in a power station, deck cranes on a merchant ship, lifeboats on ships or mobile cranes.
