Load Cell System Weighs Large Transformer

We were recently called on to assist a client weigh a large transformer that was manufactured in Melbourne to obtain a confirmed weight prior to transport by heavy haulage to Queensland.  Technicians from DRH attended the site with largest compression load cell system that contains four 150t load cells that communicate back to a digital display unit, the load cell system from the UK is fully NATA calibrated and ensures accuracy.

Three separate weighing procedures were conducted using a mobile hydraulic lifting system in place to load the transformer onto the heavy haulage trailer, the confirmed weight came in at 167.59 tonne and this then was used in the final permits for the haulage.
