Deck Crane Load Test

Dynamic Rigging Hire was called on to provide all the equipment and project support to load test two 180t Deck Cranes on general cargo ship Fortune in Geelong recently.

The load test required each crane loaded to 110% of capacity by using our 300t spreader beam that suspended clusters of water load bags off a matching pair of 120t load cells. Dynamic supplied all the lengths of lay flat fire hose, manifolds, gate valves and took care of all logistics at Geelong Port.

The load tests were witnessed by the ships agent and DNV class surveyor and most importantly conducted safely within the allocated time frame at berth. Dynamic Rigging Hire can provide a complete offering of equipment, logistics and expertise to load test cranes across South Eastern Australia.
