Always Equipped: New Precast Lifting Clutches

One area of the lifting industry that sees frequent change is precast lifting clutches. Updates to existing models or the release of new products often come as a surprise to the crane industry—and there’s nothing more frustrating than a job coming to a halt due to a change in clutch specification.

At Dynamic Rigging Hire, we continue to invest in the latest lifting clutches and precast rigging gear to help our customers avoid disruptions. We stock all current versions of Reid, Ancon (Leviat), and PSA branded clutches, as well as Ancon loop thimbles and Reid temporary lifting plates.

Reid now offers only the 3t green JAWS and the 10t 3DX clutches in their edge lifting range, making the former 7t, 8.5t, and 10t (blue) clutches obsolete. Ancon has introduced a 15t version of the EPLCMax clutch in their edge lifting range and will soon release the new Autolock EdgePro clutch, designed for panel rotation—available in our rental fleet from July 2025. PSA has expanded its LiftMX range, now offering sizes up to 15t alongside the original 8t and 10t models.

In the face lifting clutch category, we’ve seen fewer changes, but we continue to maintain a comprehensive rental stock—fully inspected, tested, and certified. We carry face clutches from Ancon, PSA, and Reid in capacities ranging from 1.3t to 32t WLL.

As manufacturers release new designs, we stay aligned with these updates to ensure our rental fleet remains current. We also offer sales of precast lifting products when that’s the best solution for our clients.
