Dynamic Rigging Conducts Load Testing on Crane for the Semi-Submersible Vessel

In December the Q7000 semi-submersible offshore vessel docked in Geelong prior to a contract with Exxon Mobil to commence subsea decommissioning of redundant wells and infrastructure from the gas platforms in Bass Strait due for removal.

Dynamic Rigging was engaged by Certex Australia to conduct load testing to the 150t knuckle boom crane, two of our technicians boarded the vessel over a three day period to perform static a 150t load test and a dynamic 50t load test to the crane in conjunction with the OEM crane technicians from Holland.

Dynamic provided the client with a full service offering including our Seaflex water load bags, all load cells, rigging, hoses and water fittings, sea water pumped from the vessels fire system filled the water bags and was returned to Corio Bay at the end of the testing.
